PRO TIPS OF BEST RETENTION
TIPS FOR BEST RETENTION
Achieve flawless lash applications with these expert tips to maximize adhesive performance and client satisfaction:
1. Optimize Working Conditions:
• Humidity plays a crucial role in the drying speed, which can minimize allergy reactions and extend retention. If your adhesive is drying too slowly, increase the humidity to accelerate the curing process.
• Monitor the Environment: Use a hygrometer to keep an eye on temperature & humidity levels. Employ a humidifier to raise humidity, a dehumidifier to lower it, and air conditioning to control the indoor temperature.
2. Prep Your Adhesive:
• Shake Well: Shake your adhesive vigorously for 60 seconds to ensure optimal bonding. Enhance this process with a glue shaker for increased efficiency.
• Thorough Cleaning: Use shampoo mousse to remove any dust and oil from the client's natural lashes.
• Use Lash Primer: Apply a lash primer to ensure the false lashes bond seamlessly with the natural lashes.
3. Adhesive Application Tips:
• Correct Amount: Apply the right bead of adhesive. Too little results in poor retention, while too much causes the lashes to stick together.
• Base Attachment: Maintain about 2mm connection without any gaps or criss-crossed bases between the natural lash and the extension.
• Apply Super Bonder: Finish with a Super Bonder for a 100% instant cure, allowing clients to wash their faces immediately after the appointment.
4. Regular Adhesive Replacement:
• Dispense a fresh drop of adhesive every 15-20 minutes to maintain its effectiveness.
• Avoid adding fresh glue onto the previous drop, as this can quickly make the glue gloopy and less effective.
CAUTION
• Use DF lash remover to remove lash extensions quickly and gently without harming the client's natural lashes.
• Preserve your adhesive's effectiveness by storing it in a dry, room-temperature environment, away from light. Do not store it in a refrigerator.
• Use opened adhesive within 4-6 weeks to ensure the best bonding and results.
• Preventing Bottle Blockage: After each use, squeeze out any remaining adhesive from the bottle tip. Ensure the bottle is tightly capped. Consider changing to a new glue nozzle if necessary.
• To prevent irritation, always ensure the adhesive does not come into direct contact with the eyes or skin.
